Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. As an Inventory Control Specialist you
will: Prepare and distribute shop order materials to internal
departments Coordinate and distribute customer orders to the
shipping team Inspect material handling equipment and report issues
to maintenance or external service providers Oversee the transfer
of shipments from inspection and receiving to appropriate storage
or work areas Maintain records of outstanding orders Record
shipping weights and charges Generate inventory reports for
purchasing and inventory control Accurately document daily receipts
and shipments Support inventory system management under the
guidance of the purchasing or inventory control manager Assist with
stock checks and fulfill interdepartmental inventory requests
Conduct regular spot checks and partial inventory audits
Participate in scheduled physical inventory counts (at least
annually) Operate a forklift as needed (training provided if
necessary) Keep workstations clean and organized Perform additional
duties as assigned This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: Initiative, Time Management High
school diploma or equivalent 0–2 years of warehouse or related
experience preferred Equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered Understanding of Lean manufacturing
principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with
forklifts and overhead cranes preferred (training available)
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong focus
on safety and accuracy Experience with cycle counting and
shipping/receiving processes Comfortable using computers and
inventory systems Strong communication skills and ability to work
independently or as part of a team Willingness to work overtime
during month-end and weekends as needed based on workload OFFERING
