Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a
highly respected Radiology team at Providence Little Company of
Mary Medical Center. This is a full-time 13-week travel contract
offering competitive pay, free parking, and an opportunity to work
in a well-known acute care hospital in Torrance, California . The
Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic mammographic
examinations and procedures utilizing digital mammography
technology, while ensuring quality images for interpretation. This
role requires comfort with advanced procedures including 3D
Mammography , Diagnostic Mammograms , and Stereotactic Biopsy .
Responsibilities: Perform screening and diagnostic mammographic
procedures with accuracy and efficiency. Operate mammography
equipment and perform image quality checks. Collaborate with
radiologists for diagnostic evaluations. Document patient
information accurately in Epic EMR. Ensure patient safety, privacy,
and comfort during procedures. Adhere to all ARRT and California
Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) standards. Maintain infection
control and radiologic safety protocols. May float between Torrance
and San Pedro campuses as needed. Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Mammography. Skilled in
procedures such as: 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis) Diagnostic
Mammograms Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA) Needle Localizations
Screening Mammograms Stereotactic Biopsies Proficient with Epic
charting system. Ability to work independently and as part of a
