Company The Boeing Company is looking for Embedded Software
Engineers (Experienced / Senior) to join the AvionX Mission Systems
Software team located in Long Beach, California . This position
will focus on supporting the Boeing Technology & Innovation
Software Engineering organization. Our engineers create systems to
help pilots navigate through complex and nuanced situations to
safely achieve their mission. We accomplish this by solving
difficult problems in optimal path planning, estimation, and
control, as well as autonomous fault protection. We strive to work
from first principles and develop powerful abstractions to maximize
capability while minimizing complexity. We're looking for team
members who will collaborate with humility and curiosity. Our teams
are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels
including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Software
Engineers. Position Responsibilities: Supports the design,
development, test, debugging and maintenance of software that is
integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry,
customer, safety and regulation standards. Assists with review,
analysis, and translation of customer requirements into the design
of software products for embedded devices and systems. Supports
building and writing code for embedded systems software to run on
specific specialized hardware. Contributes to integration of
embedded software with hardware components. Supports analysis,
monitoring and improving the efficiency and stability of embedded
software systems. Participates in testing and debugging software
for embedded devices and systems. Supports implementation of
current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes
in regulations relevant to software development and hardware
technologies. Supports tracking and evaluation of internal and
supplier software team performance to ensure product and process
compliance to project plans and industry standards. Assists with
performing embedded software project management functions. Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 3 years of experience
in embedded software development Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Level 3: 3 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience Bachelor of Science degree
from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering
technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology),
chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
experience do you have in Matlab/Simulink Experience developing
software for motion planning, estimation, and/or control Experience
developing software for real-time, near real-time, or embedded
systems. Experience automating software builds, unit tests,
integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps
tool chain Experience leading software development projects using
Agile development methodologies. Travel: 10% Drug Free Workplace:

Summary Pay Range Experienced: $135,150 - $182,850 Summary Pay
