Job Description:

Our consumer product client is seeking a Cost Accountant to assist with the daily and monthly cost accounting operations. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Oversee the daily and monthly cost accounting operations and to ensure GAAP compliance and cost accounting procedures Manage all aspects of inventory including gross margin and product line analysis and related reserves; inventory reconciliation, reserves, and variance & COGS analysis Ensure standard costs and overhead/labor rates utilized are accurate Participate in the month-end close duties including journal entries, inventory reserve & reconciliation, variance analysis Assist with special ad-hoc projects as needed The qualified Cost Accountant will possess: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance At least 3 years of experience in G/L accounting with solid exposure to cost accounting and/or inventory Solid Excel skills, such as pivot tables and V-lookups Prior experience with Oracle is preferred, but no required Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills For further details, candidates should submit their resume in MS Word format to teddy.kang@talentedsg.com .
